Israel

A bit late but it’s time also for me to talk about the first edition of Tel Aviv fashion week.
Host of the event: Roberto Cavalli.
Welcomed as a real star, he has filled the catwalk with some items from old collections together with some new.
The fashion show took place in the old Turk train station, Tahan‡, next to Jaffa port.
I’ve had look at some of the most praised stylists: Yaniv Persy and Josef Perez are the one that most struck me and raised my curiosity.
Janiv Persey is Israel youngest stylist, and he has already worked together with John Galliano; for his show, he has presented a strong, confident and rock woman.
In Tel Aviv, I managed to visit this designer jewels collection. His creations seem real works of art. Unfortunatelly, there’s no website where to show them to you.

Josef Perez, ex-dancer, quite glamour, is an emerging stylist, famous for his digital prints enriched with feathers, scales, which overlap long evening dresses. (www.josefperez.com)
On top of his creations, in his shop there’s an area dedicated to other emerging stylists regarding jewellery (where I bought a bracelet).
Fashion is very different from ours. It mainly offers long, embroidered dresses, decorated with precious stones and sequins; I must say it is was really OTT, in my opinion.
On the other hand, I found interesting items at the Carmelo Market: instantly made braceletes by an elderly couple, vintage glasses and “jewellery” created by the distorsion of silver cutlery.

  2. I am 16 and just found this blog. I love the jacket you are wearing! Can you tell me who this is made by and where I can possibly find this and I am still trying to figure out how you rolled the top. I wish you could do a video and show me how to do this.Is there a way to explain how this is done? I love your blog. Thank you

    • Hi Brianna thanks for your positive comments. The jacket has a few years and is my favorite, I I think it’s out of production.
For the top you had a great idea, I think I’ll make a video, the title will be : “How to wear”.
      xx

      • Thanks so much! I will look for the video on your blog. Looking forward to more posts too! You have great style! You can make a lot of video’s on style and the different ways to wear clothes and layer etc..this is what I do in school. I am a communications major who makes film, commercials, video’s. You can set up your own youtube channel on your fashion tips to go with your blog! :)

  3. Hi, Can you just tell me the name of the designer on the coat as I am going to look for it in the second hands shops in NY and see if I can hunt it down..Just love it..I live by NY in NJ and I go there often. Do you have a bio of who you are. I don’t see one. Are you a stylist too. In my school they have a design elective too and I want to share your blog with friends in the graphic arts department. My friend is hoping to be a designer one day and is in this program. She will love your blog. A suggestion for you would be to do a “dress for less” sort of thing too as so many can not go for the designers but I know you can put together outfits that are still sheik for us on a budget. This would be great for your style channel you set up on youtube! I am just so happy with all of your blog! Wishing you well! PS. My Dad is going to try to help me make that ring from the fork..cool. I have been to Israel and they have some interesting things. I love the clothes in Italy too. I travel a lot too with my mom so I like fashion from all over. I have been to 25 countries in the last 7 years with my mom and there is so much unique style from around the world. I just came back from India recently and the clothes are just so amazing!

    Thanks and Good luck,
    Brianna

  4. Hi, the coat is by Dior Couture.
I’m currently a student at law school and I will finish my studies in the next months. I’m strongly keen on fashion and everything
related to it. This is the main reason why I have decided to create this blog called: Fashion Madness.
The main goal of this blog is to pass on my style and passion to other people and share it with them.I have an indipendent style. I dont
really have one model from where I get my inspiration. It simply
represents what I feel. I do a mix with modern and vintage articles.
I’m not an expert in this field. I still have a lot to see and learn.
The only thing I’m sure is that everything that you are going to find
in the lines of my blog is a fair and honest expression of what I
am….of what is an icon for me.
    Thank you for your support

ps ahahah really you love the ring from the fork???;-)
    Enjoy it.
